We are working with one of Australia's leading engineering, project delivery and maintenance companies who is seeking to employ a Logistics Officer to join the company's growing team in supporting staff and clients around the country
Position is based in Brisbane, QLD
Your new role:
As a Logistics Officer you will:
- Be the first point of contact for all freight related matters
- Coordinate and manage the warehousing and transportation of goods with all suppliers and distribution centers
- Develop and maintain an asset inventory level, including accuracy of records within TAMIT or MILIS
- Undertake the purchasing of routine consumables and stores
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure all products are ready prior to dispatch date
- Process and oversee all returns from various sites
- Manage positive and effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Be able to effectively communicate with relevant teams to ensure all delivery timeframes are met
- Resolve all aspects of freight movement especially delays
- Report to the Procurement and Inventory Manager
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, youll have:
- At least 1 years experience in similar role
- Drivers Licence and Forklift License are highly desirable
- A Safety focus with excellent attention to detail
- The Ability to work in a team and work alone, with high productivity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience maintaining accurate records
- Pride yourself on being highly organised, proactive, and structured
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
