The Role
The Data Architect will be responsible for defining current to future state data architecture and migration planning, between the current legacy Oracle on-premise environment, to the future state Azure hosted ArcGIS environment and Dynamics 365 platform. It is mandatory that you are highly experienced with database technologies spanning Oracle, SQL (Postgres) and data ETL platforms such as FME. Furthermore, you must be experienced in solution architecture and build of solutions related to data in Azure and Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to Data and Solutions architecture
- Evaluate and prioritise data requirements based on business goals and objectives
- Analyse the impact of proposed solutions on existing processes and systems relating to data and solution architecture
- Create clear and detailed architectural documentation, including conceptual solution architecture, data architecture (Entity Relationship diagrams), data migration plans, and data migration test cases/scripts
- Analyse and interpret data to support decision-making
- Build of technical data migration solutions in the Azure environment (and D365 where appropriate)
- Design, development and build of technical solutions required in the Azure environment to facilitate technical requirements for broader integration between enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with the testing team to develop test cases based on requirements related to data migration
Necessary Skills:
- Highly experienced with database technologies including Oracle and SQL (Postgres).
- Proficient in data ETL platforms such as FME.
- Demonstrated expertise in solution architecture.
- Experience in building solutions related to data in Azure.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 platform.
