About Our ClientOne of Australia's biggest and well-recognised retailers that has been in operation for over 50 years with offices in Australia and New Zealand. A new role has been created in the Finance team to help support them on their growth trajectory in their office based in the south-east.
Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Financial reconciliations prepared and reviewed in timely manner
- Identify risks & opportunities for the business in timely manner to enable mitigation &/or action
- Creation and review of periodic financial statements & reports
- Review & analyse the balance sheet to ensure it represents a true & accurate financial position
- Work on improvements of a few critical processes within Finance
- Prepare & co-ordinate the group requirements
- Other ad hoc projects/tasks as requested
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business, with accounting/finance majors
- CPA/CA Qualified
- 5 years of Accounting experience
- Advanced MS Excel
- Experience in the use of Financial Systems (i.e. SAP)
- A proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to drive improvements and meet tight deadlines
