Job Description
As the Financial Accountant and 2IC to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for producing the monthly financial accounts package adhering to US GAAP rules
- Perform Balance sheet analysis, P&L analysis and monthly Balance reconciliations including Payroll, Inventory & VAT as required
- Prepare and post monthly journals including payroll, accruals and provisions
- Preparation and lodgment of GST, FBT and BAS returns
- Lodgment and payment of Payroll Taxes and Worker's Compensation
- Annual Inventory counts & Bi Yearly Fixed Assets counts, from a finance perspective
- Assistance with all elements of inventory control and reporting including preparation of the manual monthly PPV calculations relating to purchases of inventory by the relevant (i.e. Australia) subsidiary and any flow through to related companies
- Liaising with Global Business Services (GBS) on AP, AR, Cash Mgt, Reconciliations, Intercompany and Fixed Assets transactions.
- Review Internal Control procedures (for SOX compliance) and assist with internal and external audits
- Assist with the preparation of Statutory Accounts and annual Corporation Tax computations
- Comply with all company quality standards, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Other duties as requested
The Successful Applicant
You will be CA/CPA Qualified with at least 5 years' experience within a similar position and industry. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to partner with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have experience with statutory reporting within a listed organisation.
