Job Description
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the key responsibilities will include:Accounting
- Timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Setup and oversee weekly/monthly accounting routines for applicable group entities
- Maintain weekly/monthly accounting routines for applicable group entities
- Prepare and maintain accounting records in accordance accounting policies, chart of accounts, and related accounting principles and practices and reconcile subordinate ledgers with the general ledger for Group Consolidation
- Assists Statutory Audit process for related subject matter
- Prepare month end accruals and P&L trending analysis with commentary
- Complete Government Statistical Compliance
Tax
- Maintain monthly/quarterly Tax routines to ensure tax compliance obligations are met
- Assist with global Tax compliance for all direct and indirect taxes, including Income Tax returns, Transfer Pricing, BAS returns, GST, PST, WHT, FBT and all other relevant taxes
- Assist with the preparation of the annual tax provisions (including income tax/deferred tax), all tax calculations and payments globally
- Contribute to the ongoing continuous improvement of the tax function through enhanced procedures and well documented processes
- Perform simple Transfer pricing calculation and true up on routine basis
The Successful Applicant
- 2 years experience in taxation and accounting roles in a global corporate environment.
- Knowledge of both Australian Tax and global tax systems.
- Exposure to Financial Reporting.
- Exposure to large ERP systems.
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
