In this role you support clients to improve their independence, achieve physical and social goals, and enjoy quality of life. OT will be contributing to the planning and provision of client- and family-centred services and will be responsible for providing evidenced-based occupational therapy assessments and intervention services that enhance the lives of Novita clients and contribute towards organisational objectives and outcomes. This position works as part of a team within Novita and is specifically responsible for assisting clients and their families in achieving their goals and maximising their potential. Novita Services is seeking two outstanding Occupational therapists to join the therapy team in forthcoming Therapy Hub in Modbury.Novita Occupational Therapists have access to: A diverse caseload with opportunities to deliver services across a variety of settings and age groups including children, adolescents, and adults. Supervision and support structure thats tailored to your needs Internal and external professional development opportunities. A wealth of experience working as a part of our multi-disciplinary team Operational support from our Scheduling team, who can help with booking clients, Novita vehicles and therapeutic resources. The OT will undertake the following activities: Managing clinical caseload involving the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the appropriate treatment/management program Selecting, applying and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and their ability to meet goals and objectives in line with organisational practice standards Designing and executing clinical interventions under the guidance of experienced clinical staff based on evidence based practice Encouraging client and family participation in program evaluation to ensure that services are relevant to the individual familys needs and priorities. Contributing to the development and provision of community based programmes and activities for children with physical disabilities Integrating occupational therapy services with other Novita services to support a multi-disciplinary approach and liaising with and engaging in decision making, client reviews, planning sessions, program conferences and other appropriate meetings

Along with Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, to be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: Ability to adapt established occupational therapy assessments and interventions to meet client needs Ability to develop and promote new occupational therapy interventions as required Ability to communicate effectively with customers, children, parents, and staff Understanding of trans-disciplinary teamwork and a willingness to work within this framework Knowledge of current best practice interventions Knowledge of Child and family-centred practice Previous experience providing services in the field of paediatrics and with some community based multi-disciplinary teamwork experience (Desirable only).
Essential Criteria Valid driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for travel NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain) Fully vaccinated from COVID-19 (SA mandate).
Remuneration Package
Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15,900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay by approximately $5,000. Further salary-packaging benefits available include meal and entertainment expenses, accommodation and venue hire, private novated leasing, and additional superannuation contributions.
