Job Description
Coleman Rail has a long standing reputation as the leading rail and infrastructure contractor in Australia, providing construction services for major rail and transport infrastructure projects Australia-wide, in 2017 Coleman Rail become part of the ACCIONA group of companies with a presence in more than 40 countries.
The Southern Program Alliance (SPA) is one of five alliances responsible for removing 75 of Melbournes most dangerous and congested level crossings by 2025 as part of Victorias Big Build transport infrastructure program. The program alliance consists of the Level Crossing Removal Project, Metro Trains Melbourne, Acciona Construction Australia, Coleman Rail, and WSP.
SPA has around 900 staff across a variety of areas including engineering, design, community relations, finance, and IT as well as an on-site workforce of up to 1700 workers during its busy construction periods.
The program alliance prides itself in incorporating sustainability within its design and delivery as well as engaging with relevant stakeholders such as Traditional Owners and social enterprises to deliver safe and long-lasting legacies for communities.
Responsibilities:
Lead effective and meaningful community engagement processes to build community understanding, address community concerns and reduce the likelihood of risks by developing a thorough understanding of community sentiment.
Prepare, implement, and maintain a suite of strategic communications plans to support the safe and efficient delivery of the project(s).
Identify, plan and manage key relationships to build trust, increase the understanding of project benefits and maintain clear pathways for the effective management of issues.
Liaise closely with key delivery teams to understand and mitigate construction impacts.
Manage the end-to-end frontline delivery of communications and engagement task delivery, including in-person meetings, relocations, information sessions, activations, telephone and email enquiries.
Develop and manage the production of Project communications materials to agreed timelines.
Lead and manage creative campaigns with the community, traders and schools to promote project awareness and reduce risk.
Identify stakeholder and community issues and provide advice and updates to the LXRP
Lead and mentor the Communications Advisors
