Job summary
job detailsGlobal Human Resources company requires a Senior Security Analyst for an initial 6 month + contract to be based in Sydneys CBD.
As a Senior Security Analyst you will be involved in a variety of activities, Strategic Support, Project Leadership, Operational Support, Governance and Compliance.
On a daily basis you will be involved in:
- Work with the CISO to develop a security program and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements.
- Manage the process of gathering, analysing and assessing the current and future threat landscape, as well as providing the CIO with a realistic overview of risks and threats in the enterprise environment.
- Maintain a portfolio of key initiatives within a signed off and agreed Strategic Plan
- Take the lead on key projects providing appropriate project management in conjunction with PMO
- Ongoing review and updating of existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
- Manage and coordinate operational components of incident management, including detection, response and reporting.
To be successful, the ideal candidate will possess:
- Have worked in an information security role and at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Certification from ISACAs Certified information security officer (CISO), (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional or other certifications at the discretion of direct line manager.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence business managers, IT engineering and IT operations staff.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controls.
- An excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies.
- Experience in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Familiarity with the principles of cryptography and cryptanalysis.
