About The Opportunity
The Executive Assistant to the General Manager provides professional and confidential executive, secretarial, project and administrative services. This role is critical in: Managing the General Managers diary including all internal and external appointments, meetings, extensive email management, events and other necessary arrangements; Providing all necessary administration tasks, including mail, drafting documents, preparing correspondence, phone screening, appointments; Establishing and maintaining effective systems for the management of correspondence, information and documentation and the smooth operation of the General Manager Unit;
To be successful in the role we are looking for a professional who has: Experience and a proven track record of success in personal assistant roles looking after senior executives; Excellent ability to maintain positive and professional relationships within internal and external stakeholders; A high quality work ethic and a strong attention to detail. Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders Sound time management and organisational skills, ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines Demonstrated initiative, analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to initiate and participate in business improvement activities

Bowral & District Hospital has an excellent reputation in the community for its commitment to safe, quality patient care. It is part of the South West Sydney Local Health District and is networked to tertiary facilities of Campbelltown and Liverpool. The hospital is a level 3 acute bed facility which provides a wide range of services including 24 hour Emergency Department, 2 x Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Critical and Coronary Care, Maternity & Paediatrics and is currently undergoing redevelopment with a new inpatient facility to be completed by 2020.

What you'll be doing To provide a full range of high standard administrative and secretarial assistance to support the General Manager (GM) in the successful performance of his/her role. This position is instrumental in the effective and efficient functioning of the General Managers Unit and is key to organising the management of information/correspondence/files to a high level that reflects the General Managers priorities, supports information flow and informs decision making. This role is also responsible for the co-ordination and management of the Bowral & District hospital fleet of vehicles.
How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. Demonstrated high level of administrative and secretarial competency supported by comprehensive experience in similar senior role. Proven advanced proficiency in using PC based software - Outlook, MS Office (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in the use of electronic records management systems, HPE Content Manager & Booking Intelligence (Fleet Car Management System). Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service orientation and highly developed interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and a broad range of issues including complaints handling and negotiation. High level of problem solving and organisational skills with demonstrated flexibility /ability to adapt to change as well as demonstrated ability to plan and exercise good judgement to assess importance of
