About the BusinessSunripe is a local family-run business that has become the largest producer of field grown snacking tomatoes in Australia. We have transformed a small snacking tomato farm into a quality focussed grower with multiple farms and a packing facility servicing chain stores and local and interstate markets with premium quality fruit and produce!
About the Role
As our next Small Engine Mechanic you will maintain and repair our fleet of Quad Bikes, Motorcycles, Generators, Pumps and various other small engines whilst delivering a high level of quality to ensure our farms and packing facility continues to operate efficiently and work towards improving efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and repairs carried out. You will work with our team to ensure our business goals are met and exceeded. We are an inclusive, diverse and friendly business with a constant strive to improve and achieve more.
This is a Full time 38 hour per week role, with the occasional after-hours call-out for an urgent repair on broken-down machinery.
To be considered for this role you will have;Small Engine Mechanic Trade Qualification or Relevant Qualification.Post-Trade experience working as a Small Engine Mechanic, repairing and maintaining a variety of small engines or Relevant experience.Current Forklift License or willingness to obtain one.A High attention to detail.The ability to work independently and as a team.A can-do attitude.Willingness to learn and improve.The drive to achieve.A Friendly and approachable personality.
Key Requirements of this roleMaintain and repair fleet of Small engines, including Quad Bikes, Motorcycles, Generators, Mowers, Pumps and other small machinerySource relevant parts, oils and lubricants for maintaining and repairing machinery.Ensure workshop and workspace is kept clean and tidy.Ensure OHS is always a priorityFood Safety Standards are met when possibleBasic computer knowledge (Word, Email, Recording repairs carried out etc)Develop and Maintain a service schedule for fleet of small engines to ensure vehicles are efficient and productive at all times.
