The role
- Work with IT Asset and Contract Managers to develop plans to ensure that the department has the right capabilities
- to maintain the environment and services
- Manage the end to end activities to source IT assets and technology services on behalf of the department
- Assist in the development of requirements, evaluation criteria and other documents required to support procurement events
- Support IT market analysis and proposal evaluation, negotiations and contract awarding
- Provide high level advice, input and intelligence on lifecycle management activities, along with agreed progress and planning reporting
Responsibilities
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Preparing documentation, managing records and procurement reporting
- Have an understanding and undertake your procurement activities in line with the departments policies, government legislation and VGPG guidelines.
- Anticipate and manage the risk associated with the procurement activity
About you
We are seeking a procurement professional with 3-6 years experience within the public sector. You must have an aptitude for challenging and high volume work, be able to thrive within a team environment and desiring to understand the departments processes. IT procurement experience is only desirable, government experience is a must.
