The Contracts: Ongoing and Parental Leave replacement opportunities available, Part Time/Full Time hours negotiable with a total of 2.8 eft available to split. Please specify your preferred eft in your cover letter.
The Position:
In this role you will work in modern surroundings in our combined Medical/Surgical Ward consisting of 34 beds with 2 bariatric beds and a 4 bed higher acuity area. Care is provided for a large spectrum of medical conditions as well as post-operative care for gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, ENT, general surgery patients. The ward has facilities for cardiac monitoring via both mobile telemetry units and fixed monitors. As part of a multifaceted clinical environment you will be exposed to a broad range of patient presentations and clinical situations providing great opportunities to grow your skills.
What you need: Minimum 5 years recent acute nursing experience Excellent clinical assessment skills with the ability to apply the escalation of care principles. Excellent care planning skills with a good understanding of and commitment to providing patient centred care CVAD competencies or commitment to attain, BLS certification required, ALS an advantage. Well-developed communication skills with the ability to utilise key principles to ensure a good clinical handover
