We are seeking an energetic team member to assist the Senior Ranger at Springvale Nature Reserve with reporting, research, Natural Resource Management (NRM), and asset managements with our Northern,Technical Support. Emphasis is based upon the principles of catchment management, assisting with erosion mediation works including revegetation programs, flora and fauna assessment, pest and fire management just to get you started. You will co-ordinate the planning and delivery of these projects for management activities on QPWS managed areas, including facilities, infrastructure and restoration of natural ecosytems. You'll do varied, stimulating work, and your office view will vary, but remain constantly stunning! Your strong leadership and communication skills will assist you in tackling evolving priorities. Outdoor duties such implementing natural resource programs will balance indoor work such as compiling reports and submissions. You'll form invaluable professional relationships with Traditional Owners, various commonwealth and state agencies and stakeholders. About you: *You have passion for and experience associated with natural land management and conservation *You will have research and communication skills *You'll have basic to intermediate experience with managing assets and infrastructure (example to Parks - fencing, regeneration, roads, signage etc) *You're passionate about a "one team" approach and providing guidance and mentoring of others *You have a strong approach for workplace health and safety across your day to day activities *You have the ability to communicate across a range of stakeholders and easily build relationships As a successful applicant, you'll join our Northern Region, Technical Support Team working out of the Cairns or Atherton office to conserve and protect Springvale Nature Refuge.
