Job summary
The role:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with 3-5 years experience to work on a major tier 1 construction project.
Ensure all relevant project staff understand and comply with commercial requirements in contracts with customers and major/high risk subcontracts as per policies, procedures and guidelines Attend contract acceptance and contract review meetings to ensure compliance with contract requirements, policies and procedures Establish, develop and lead a high performance team Manage commercial issues, minor and major contract disputes Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers/subcontractors as authorised by senior management Assist contract administrators and project managers as needed in commercial matters e.g. claims, contractual issues, disputes, preparing subcontract terms and conditions, and setting up administration procedures with accounting Undertake post-contract completion reviews, analyse results, undertake corrective actions Skills and experience
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying or business Expansive experience in commercial and contract administration gained on construction, engineering or associated projects or business Experience in a commercial management role leading a team Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management A sound understanding of the mechanical and electrical disciplines will be highly regarded Strong problem-solving skills to tackle issues and reach conclusions Please apply here or send your CV to [Apply online]
