Minara Resources is Australias largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for ensuring the Permit to Work function aligns with the Murrin Murrin Operations Processing Plant.
You will be responsible for: Provide a direct line leadership role for the Permit team; Provide technical expertise and compliance support relating to the permit to work system; Ensure team member competencies are maintained; Ensure system procedures are up to date and appropriate; The health and safety of personnel, and the reporting of any environmental and/or WH&S incidents or accidents; and Assisting in achieving operating budgets and contributing to improvement opportunities.
About You
This role would suit a highly organised and customer focused professional looking to develop their career within mining. You will also have: Experience in a supervisory role within a similar environment; A strong understanding of isolations, P&IDs, work permit processes, WHS requirements, legislation and risk assessment processes; Proven experience in hazard identification and management; The ability to coordinate with multiple people across departments; Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); and Demonstrated experience interpreting and administering WHS procedures, Policies, legislation, and management systems.
