The Company

Airspeeder is an upcoming, next generation motorsport series for electric flying vehicles. It has been described as the Formula 1 of the skies. The series will be powered by performance eVTOL manufacturer Alauda Aeronautics.

Alauda provide teams with the racing vehicles, known as Speeders. Teams will be given the freedom to set drivers and create strategy. Races will take place in remote locations across the globe. The speeders are manned racing electric quadcopters that can fly at speeds of up to 200km/h.

The Role

Airspeeder and sister company Alauda Aeronautics are looking for an experienced finance professional to take on the role of Financial Controller across our two businesses.

This position will be a key factor in the ongoing success of the business as we continue our rapid expansion.
This role will be responsible for all aspects of day to day financial operations and hence a flexible and humble approach to work is required.

We are seeking someone experienced working in an agile environment with the ability and willingness to deliver on different functions ranging from financial administration and governance to strategic initiatives and reporting. As the business expands further this role will take on more management responsibility and assist with building out the finance team.

We are a collaborative team and therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills will be highly valued.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all accounting and financial day to day operations across the organisation Provide financial analysis and reporting to support planning, strategy and financial risk management Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Manage payroll function Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Manage company insurances across different regions KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven working experience as a Financial Controller 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience Advanced degree in Accounting CPA or CA certification preferred Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating and reporting financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and end of year/month close process Experience with payroll and AR/AP functionality Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Experience dealing with international transactions and regulators Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders on all levels Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude towards work Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to adapt language to various audiences Airspeeder/Alauda Aeronautics is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with us is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, colour, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
