The Opportunity
Positioned within Councils Information Technology department, this opportunity will see you as the first point of contact for all employees, Councillors and Contractors for IT enquiries and support requests. Providing a high level of customer service to stakeholders, you will ensure all requests are responded to and resolved within agreed service levels.
You will also take responsibility for providing technical support to staff across the organisation, including remote sites for desktops, laptops, tablets (including iPads), printers, VOIP phones and smart phones (including iPhones).
ResponsibilitiesEnsure all requests in the service management system are responded to and resolved within the standards as specified in the agreed service levels (SLAs), escalating to other support teams as appropriate.Provide moves, adds and changes to user accounts for ICT systems including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft system centre, e-mail, VOIP phone, AirWatch smart device management, and selected corporate applications.Provide moves, adds and changes for hardware including imaging desktops and laptops, provision and set up of smart devices (iPads and iPhones), patching of data and phone ports, and ensuring asset management data bases are kept up to date.Assist with the documentation and updating of user help procedures.
Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in an Information and Communications Technology Help Desk role;Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft System Centre or similar and general networking knowledge;High level of proficiency with computer software systems including Microsoft Software Applications and web-based applications; and,Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally convey appropriate information to a wide range of stakeholders.
