Job summary
Our Client, a leading design house specializing in the area of Medtech, are hiring Project Managers at their Sydney facility. The successful candidates will work in the Drug Delivery and Connective Care areas of the business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Lead new product development projects in the medical, consumer and bio-pharma product industries.Gather business requirements for projects and plan project milestones based on requirementsImplement project management methodology, including project initiation, requirement gathering, reviewing and resolving customer feedbackEnsure project documentation is completed and fully representative of the work delivered.Communicate openly with all stakeholders regarding any risk or deviation from planned delivery, highlighting these to respective contacts as soon as possible, with mitigation recommendationsManage, coordinate and integrate cross-functional project teams through all stages of projects to achieve required project deliverables and business outcomes.To ensure that the Business Unit has the required cross-disciplinary capabilities and resources, to carry out Projects and to continually improve these capabilities for the Business Unit.Coach and mentor staff and continually improve the way the Company works to deliver enhanced project and business results.Identifies and anticipates project priorities, issues and risks and acts accordingly to achieve project goals.Support new business development activities for the Business Unit.
RequirementsA degree in Biomedical Engineering, or similar applicable technical disciplineExperience working in project-based roles, with most of the experience in the medical device or associated industries.3-5 years Project management experience in the medical device industry, with diverse projects across the product development lifecycle (early concepts through to market launch) with the successful delivery of at least one end to end project.Diverse medical device project experience preferred - large and small projects from early concept through regulatory approval and market launch.Experience in roles with management/reporting responsibilities for resources.Project management qualifications (Prince2, PMP) would be beneficial.Experience in customer-facing roles and/or roles with responsibility for business outcomes.Significant demonstrated understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and practices e.g. design thinking, agile development, design controls, systems engineering for medical products.Exceptional stakeholder management skills to develop good relationships, manage expectations and needs to ensure satisfaction.Demonstrated understanding of a quality approach to product development within ISO13485, ISO9001 or similar Quality Management Systems Experience. Ability to identify needs of complex systems, anticipate and plan around standards and regulatory requirements.Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsDriven professional with the desire to succeed and a can-do attitude.Computer Skills (required): Microsoft Office suite (inc Powerpoint, Excel, Project), Adobe suite, digital project management tools (preferred).
