About the Role
Nutrition Australia Vic Division is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Communications and Marketing Officer to join our growing team based in Docklands, Melbourne. Reporting to the NPS Program Manager, the role will develop, execute, and oversee all communications including media and PR, publications, online communications, social media and marketing initiatives as required by both the Nutrition Programs and Services (NPS) Unit of Nutrition Australia and Nutrition Australia, VIC, SA, TAS, WA Division more broadly.
The Nutrition Programs & Services (NPS) Unit provides nutrition expertise and services to a range of external stakeholders including government departments, food industry, non-government organisations, community organisations and consumer groups. Services include the delivery of large-scale nutrition education projects, menu and food product assessments, the provision of support for interpreting and implementing government food and nutrition guidelines, recipe and new product development and nutrition education through webinars and live interactive sessions.
We are looking for a commercially minded individual and passionate team player who is hands-on and motivated to own their role. Knowledge and/or experience working in public health, health promotion or government sector is essential.
What you would doDevelop and source content appropriate for a range of communication materials for specific Nutrition Australia and Nutrition Programs & Services projects. Including content creation, copywriting, proofreading and/or editing.Engage project officers to develop and implement communication and marketing plans for Nutrition Programs & Services projects as required.Oversee the development of marketing and promotional content for e-newsletters, eDMs and articles.Develop and execute engagement strategies to increase website traffic, drive usage of our online tools, resources and servicesPlan media across all channelsProvide support into the development of organisational grant and tender applications.Lead Nutrition Australia campaigns such as National Nutrition Week.Lead the development and implementation of campaign project plans, communications plans (end to end campaign management including messaging, publicity and media liaison) and evaluation plans.Management of financial and in-kind sponsors to support the campaign objectives.Promote Nutrition Australia campaigns through industry, key stakeholder groups and networks, media and other avenues as identified to maximise reach.Oversee the creation of compelling social media content, including copy and imagery by Nutrition Programs and Services team members.Use social media analytics to measure reach and engagement. Ensure evaluation results contribute to continuous improvement.Develop and manage day-to-day relationships with project partners and key stakeholders to develop content
The ideal candidate will be an innovative and motivated Senior Communications and Marketing Officer who has at least three years experience in leading the development and execution of integrated campaigns. They will have extensive experience in the delivery of strategic and high quality communications, marketing, PR, promotions and engagement strategies as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team..
The role is open to flexibility and depending on the candidate can be offered in part time (0.6 FTE) or full time capacity.
