Job Description
The purpose of the Quality Manager is to lead and manage all aspects of the QA function and work closely with the R&D Department to drive new and improvement projects across that function. A key responsibility is to support site operational systems and processes, and ensure that all manufactured product complies with food safety, regulatory and quality requirements. Reporting directly to the National Quality Manager with a dotted line to the Site Operations Manager you will help drive the quality assurance culture within the factory. This is a hands on role that will require you to have a proven understanding of high risk food manufacturing and exposure to ready to eat products.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you will be a tertiary qualified Quality Assurance Manager with a background in a science or food related discipline. To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally possess:
- Knowledge of cook/chill manufacturing processes.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a QA/Technical Leadership role.
- Proven experience in WQA/ BRC or similar standard compliance within a food processing facility
- Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills.
- Must have a good understanding of food safety best practice and implementing accomplished/audited quality management systems to deliver these standards.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ileader
