A leader in the construction and engineering industry, this organisation has a foothold in one of the largest construction and maintenance programs in Australia. Working in partnership with a number of contractors there is now an opportunity to join the team as a Safety Project Manager in Western Sydney. ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting directly to the Project Director you will champion health, safety, environment and wellbeing for the project with a human centered approach. An interesting and fast paced role there is opportunity to bridge the gap for safety on the project, lead and mentor the safety team and develop a solid working relationship with the client. The project will construct high voltage power supply upgrades and substations and extensive fit out works. This is a leadership role where you will influence a strong culture driving the implementation of an efficient safety and wellbeing program.
Project Safety & Wellbeing Manager
- Proven history in health and safety with experience in power, rail and construction
- Strong communication and engagement skills across all levels of a business
- Evidence of initiatives and programs implemented
- Passionate about safety, a who leader enjoys coaching and mentoring
- Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal
- Management or risk/hazards, audits and investigations
- Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment
- Tertiary Qualifications in Work, Health & Safety
- Competent to run detailed ICAM investigations
- Environmental compliance experience
- Experience taking the safety lead on large scale projects
