Our client is a global leader in the distribution and formulation of specialty chemicals and ingredients. Due to significant growth, we are currently seeking experienced and driven Customer Service Representatives to join a rewarding and high performing team environment.
THE ROLE
Full-time permanent Customer Service role based in Mulgrave.
Your main focus is liaising with customers, finance, distribution and sales departments to receive customer orders (directly from the customer or through field sales personnel) and to facilitate the timely and efficient provision of product.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer customer telephone inquiries, take orders, respond to service needs and complaints or where appropriate, seek advice from more experienced staff or direct such matters to sales personnel or Business Managers and monitor outcomes. Keep customers up to date on status
Liaise with sales and support staff to keep them up to date on the individual needs of customers.
Report any serious customer situations to the Customer Service Supervisor / Commercial Manager for immediate action.
Initiate and maintain customer, supplier and product master files via Masterpack.
Process sales and inventory transactions (sales orders, pre-costings, stock transfers, credit notes, etc).
Follow up on the status of orders for sales personnel and monitor distribution or product for customers where necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word and Excel, Power Point
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Previous customer services experience in a similar role (2 -5 years) in relevant industry is preferred but not essential
