This position is responsible for the day-to-day management, servicing and performance of site-based capital mining equipment with a keen focus on safety, customer service, and customer satisfaction.Be part of our positive sustainable change to our world
THE ROLECommunicates and interacts with all levels of organization staff and management, internally and externally.Work at remote customer sites around the world for extended periods of timePerform start-up procedure, inspection, commissioning, and customer maintenance/operator training.Work with customers site operational team and internal stakeholders to achieve process and production goals.Perform pre-installation audits to determine site conditions, customer preparedness, project inventory, and overall project installation logisticsProvide customer technical support by phone, email, or on-site visits.Produces regular reports and activity summaries to confirm the utilization, direction, and results of all service works.Remains easily accessible and readily available due to the customer or end-user service requirements sometimes being unscheduled and/or arising due to emergency.Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of health & safety within the field service team.Provide a structure in the areas of basic electrical, hydraulic and mechanical service through the use of MOTAWillingly engages field service problem-solving opportunities with a quick, first responder, take ownership kind of approach, seeing it through to resolution.Attend customer meetings in house or on customer site as necessary to develop customer solutions and provide technical supporting the technology.Completes & submit, in accordance with MO reporting and billing rules and processes, any recommendations, evaluations, expense reports, action reports, monthly work logs, etc.Provides advisory services and makes recommendations using product knowledge and management for commissioning, repairs, assembly, troubleshooting, installation of equipment manufactured and/or delivered by MO.Provides field and classroom-based service-maintenance-commissioning training for customers/end-user operations / maintenances personnel.Provides field-based training for customer service personnel in the administration of service-related policy and procedures. Most particularly in the areas of Delivery & Acceptance, Commissioning, Warranty Registration, and Product Warranty in accordance with acknowledged policies and procedures.Understands Lock Out/Tag Out procedures on-site locations
ABOUT YOU5 years minimum experience in related industrial equipment technical support and service.Associates degree in engineering, or high school diploma with equivalent related experience.At least 5 years of supervisory experience is required.Experience in troubleshooting technical-field-related problems.Millwright certification and/or hydraulics certifications are desirable.Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment field service technician or mechanic.Minimum 5 years of experience in the areas of hydraulic and mechanical engineering.Minimum level 2 competency in core mining equipmentAbility to effectively lead and supervise customer/user personnel under various working conditions and hours.Ability to interact, on a technical level, with Field Sales, Training, Application & Technical Support groups as well as Parts, Support & Engineering groups.Ability to maintain a steady and level attitude when pressured.Ability to perform service functions in all site environments with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.Ability to solve problems and situations
