Senior Trade Overseer - Facilities Maintenance (Plumber) - Glen Innes Correctional Centre
About the role
Salary: $91,964 pa + $5,407 pa Incidental Allowance - Superannuation - Annual Leave Loading.
Position Type: Ongoing Permanent - Full Time
Location: Glen Innes Correctional Centre
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Senior Trade Overseer to lead and manage our Facilities Maintenance unit at Glen Innes Correctional Centre
As the Senior Trade Overseer, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Supervise, coach, train, instruct and work with inmates to develop their work skills Manage activities of the team and ensure commercial objectives are achieved Be a positive role model and demonstrate personal values which support CSI and social values Provide detailed case management reporting through the Work Readiness Program Ensure that resources are managed efficiently and effectively Provide and maintain a safe working environment for staff, inmates and other stakeholders on site. Participate in planning and reviewing quality and continuous improvement processes Ensure compliance is adhered to with relevant CSNSW and CSI policies and procedures

Essential requirements
Current Plumbing Contractors Licence or Qualified Supervisors Certificate. Certification in Backflow and TMV is desirable but not essential. Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications It is an essential requirement of the role that successful applicants are fully vaccinated and able to provide acceptable proof of vaccination status
