Job summary
The Tunnel and Geotechnical Engineer will develop underground projects in collaboration with the project teams and under the supervision of the team leader.The core responsibilities of the Tunnel and Geotechnical Engineer will be focused on the technical and geotechnical development of the underground projects in a collaborative BIM-based environment.
The Projects will range from feasibility studies on the Owner side to execution design and consulting tasks for major EPC contractors.
Daily tasks:
Tunnel and Geotechnical Engineer and support to the Team Leader. Main disciplines: geotechnical, hydrogeological, and structural engineering of underground structures, tunnels and TBM tunnels
Interfacing with the BIM Coordinator
Structure design (underground works etc)
Coordination with E&M designs and other disciplines
Periodic site visits for ongoing projects
To be successful you will have:
Relevant Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
At least 2 years experience
Familiar with relevant Australian Standards and specifications
Geotechnical software experience (AutoCAD, Flac, PLAXIS, Optum, etc)
Demonstrate high level of initiative and problem solving
Ability to identify and manage hazards and risks with a strong commitment to OHSE
Communicate clearly and articulately the geological and engineering principles to clients and co-workers both orally and in writing
Verbal and written communication skills in Italian is beneficial
Ability to meet deadlines

Base salary of up to $180,000 for the right person
