Our organisation was established in response to the lack of suitably accessible housing and the limited choice of flexible, person-centred supports for people living with disability in the Northern Territory. We work towards our vision every day and do so through our mission and values.As the Service Manager you will be responsible to develop, implement, establish and manage a high-quality, innovative and sustainable service model in delivering disability services to NDIS participants in Darwin and Surrounds.
A key function of your role is to network with organisations, services and the community to promote the service capabilities to deliver NDIS services and deliver and lead marketing, promotion and networking strategies to increase the level of new individuals, families and carers in Darwin and surrounds accessing services, assistance to apply for NDIS access and NDIS pre-planning support through Linkup Disability Services.
In this role, you will:Oversee Operations Services and the Administration teamDevelop and implement strategies aiming to promote the organizations mission and vision.Oversee the quality and outcomes of all operational functions delivered by Linkup Australia.Set up operational targets and monitor outcomes periodically. Monitor service delivery against targets. Review reports by subordinates to acquire understanding of the organizations financial and non-financial position.Provide leadership and supervision - Guide employees through their development. Give constructive feedback to managers, coordinator, team leaders and support workers. Build an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to managers.Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across the organisationCreate a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organisationForge and maintain relations of trust with shareholders, partners and external authoritiesProactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect business interestsKnowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards CommissionHighly developed written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skillsMust practice justice and equality among the employees.
As the Service Manager at Linkup Australia you will have:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant and related discipline or equivalent professional experienceExperience in leadership and/or management within community/disability servicesExperience in managing stakeholder relationships to achieve set objectivesDemonstrated ability to identify operational improvements and influencing others to drive changeAbility to build a strong sense of team ownership and maintain a high level of staff moraleNational Police Criminal History Report (less than 3 months old) with acceptable outcomeFull (open) Northern Territory drivers licence
