Job Description
Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of group consolidated accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow on a monthly basis and analysis of any variance to plan and historical performance;
- Cash management including forecasting of month end and future cash position, clearing cash transactions, cash flow planning, hedging, managing FX payments, trade finance and letters of credit and bank liaison for Australia;
- Assist in driving the administration functions of Accounts Payable, payroll and accounts receivable function for most efficient processing and meeting all obligations;
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax return and statutory and consolidated accounts for Australia and group entities;
- Preparation and submission of tax compliance returns for Australia including payroll tax, FBT and GST;
- Perform Internal audits across all sites and prepare reports on recommended improved control processes;
- Accounting support for the Australian business including monthly transactions, management of capital assets and general ledger and inter-company reconciliations;
- Complete other duties including specific project tasks from time to time, facilitation and presentation, as required to meet department expectation.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, is willing to learn and has strong stakeholder management skills. They also have:
- 3-4 year's experience in a similar accounting position
- Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA or CPA qualification complete
- SAP experience advantageous
- Strong experience with tax and knowledge of accounting standards
- Management accounting knowledge and experience
- Intermediate-Advanced MS Excel skills
