Job summary
Inspired Exteriors is a boutique high end landscape design, construction and maintenance firm based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs with construction jobs across greater Sydney.We looking for the right person to add to our existing team of construction professionals. Our projects provide a large amount of variety, all under the single overarching theme of high quality design, construction and horticultural maintenance.
Our senior landscape tradesman is responsible for assisting the site manager/ foreman in the efficient and effective day to day operations of one or more landscape construction projects. This is a site based role with the majority being hands-on tasks and the potential for job management tasks.
Primary tasks (but not limited to):
Assisting the site foreman in all aspects for construction projects
Assist to:
- Plan all materials and subcontractors to meet project timelines
- Delegate tasks to team
- Quality control on self, staff and subcontractor works
- Liaise with contractors and staff regarding construction items
- Liaise with clients on progress and planning
- Identify variations and transfer required information to other for pricing (Site manager or Construction manager)
- Guide self and team to meet targeted timeframes for works all the while ensuring company quality expectations are met or exceeded
- Lead, guide and develop staff within our team that are junior to your position
- Hard and soft landscape construction
- WHS management
- Budget control
This a full-time position with immediate start and the possibility to grow within the construction team.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The right person will bring:
- Residential landscape experience (a must)
- Cert 3 landscape construction minimum
- 3 years site experience in a minimum leading hand role (site foreman experience an advantage)
- Pool building experience an advantage
- Experience reading & interpretation plans
- Manual drivers licence
- White card
- Own utility vehicle
The person will possess an eye for detail and have the ability and desire to forward plan. A calm demeanour and a good work ethic will see the right person be a good fit with our team and strong communication, a respectful nature and being well presented is a must for our company.
Competitive salary based on experience and skills with reimbursement of kilometres when own vehicle used.
