Job Description
- Be accountable for leading and coordination of resources to delivery project initiatives
- Develop deep working relationships with several cross functional teams, while operating in a complex stakeholder environment across multiple lines of business.
- Facilitate execution across diverse set of Agile development teams to ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Manage dependencies across squads and remove roadblocks to drive outcomes with product owners and business stakeholders.
- Escalation point for dealing with issues, risks and removing bottlenecks/impediments
- Facilitate Agile release execution and planning events, including but not limited to progressive elaboration of breaking down large units of work into epics and features in collaboration of scrum masters and their squads.
- Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets and promote a collaborative team environment
The Successful Applicant
- Ensure that the Agile processes are fully executed.
- Guide and coach others (scrum leaders) about the ART and Lean-Agile practices.
- Assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. Oversee the ART and the SAFe framework to ensure its functioning and productivity.
- Report status updates and metrics to senior leadership on the performance and efficiency of the ART.
- Manage and optimise the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
- Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and PIs
- Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events Facilitate the PI planning event
- Summarise Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives (the RTE) and publish them for visibility and transparency
- Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities
- Facilitate periodic synchronisation events, including the ART sync Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
- Help manage risks and dependencies and escalate and track impediments
- Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
- Encourage collaboration between teams and System & Solution Architects/Engineering
- Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
- Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle
- Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve
- Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
