The Opportunity
We are looking for a full time Fire Service Technician to join the team. Reporting to the Fire Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing all aspects of service including:Carrying out preventive maintenance inspections, identifying and diagnosing any requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs including but not limited to fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hydrants, hose reels, fire systems etc.Completing all documentation.Transporting fire safety equipment to / from customer locations for repair, servicing and testingReturn and install customer property in a professional and timely matterRepresents Survitec professionally during customer interactions and uses extensive product knowledge to understand and answer technical questions regarding service requirementsTravel for training purposes, service work and some offshore work required and can be at short noticeDocumenting the use of spare parts to ensure accuracy of inventory.Ensuring Fire Safety Service Shop and company owned tools, equipment and vehicles are kept in a clean, professional and organized conditionDevelops knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.Provide customer support and feedback in relation to service enquiries, quotes, orders, technical information, warranty issues and availability
About You
To be considered for this role we are looking for someone who: Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutionsHas experience servicing fire safety equipment on marine vessels or offshore is preferred, but not requiredHas experience completing routine inspections, reports and industry compliance.Has clear written and verbal communication skillsA valid passport, or ability to obtain a passport, to attend training outside of AustraliaA valid drivers licenseCan makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problemsCan work in a team and independentlyTakes on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
