With multiple sites and over 2000 employees across the country, you will be joining a well-respected and leading FMCG business based at their main manufacturing facility near Newcastle
Job Description
You will get to be involved throughout all the different stages of food product development, including testing, commercialisation, ensuring food products comply with regulations and working with both commercial and production teams to meet the customer requirements.Some of your day-to-day activities will include.
- Provide technical expertise, develop new products, identify improvements, Inspect samples
- Ensure legislation for food standards and external quality standards and processes are met
- Take customer concepts through to commercialisation and launch, including identifying manufacturing capacity, formulating products, commercialisation and troubleshooting
- Evaluate raw materials, functional ingredients, and packaging
- Assist in the process of conducting shelf life and nutritional testing on new products
- Review existing formulations with the objective to reduce costs and improve quality
- Attend regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
This is a great opportunity to start your career as an NPD Food Technologist if you have recently completed your food science degree, as full training is provided.Or, if you have some experience already and are now looking for a career role with genuine long-term opportunities for growth and working on some new and exciting products coming to market, this could also be for you.With a highly skilled team around you, you will receive full training.You will also need:
- Formal qualifications in Food Science or related discipline
- Excellent attention to detail, and technical capability
- Genuine interest in food and the development of new food products
- A team player who has excellent communication skills
