The Senior Front End Developer is responsible for the front end development of the collateral and functionality required to support eCommerce trade and brand outcomes.

This is an integral role in Witcherys continued journey toward the execution of a world class website and related online User Experience (UX) journeys.

The role is responsible for building and updating website content on a weekly basis, in addition to assisting the eCommerce Manager in operational tasks, including providing support with IT bug fixes and testing of web development rollouts.

It will also play a pivotal role in a strong digital growth journey, being Witcherys technical lead on the digital roadmap, growth projects, plus CRO and UX/UI design optimisation.

** Please note, this opportunity is a parental leave contract position until April 2023**

Key Responsibilities Developing the Witchery website with particular focus on the content and creative pages, using a range of front end web development techniques and languages. Work with the Digital and Creative teams to coordinate delivery of creative assets required for weekly/ monthly /seasonal content and creative pages of the website and, from time-to-time, transactional emails. Execute and continually improve content displayed throughout the site, ensuring compatibility with all devices and browsers. Create onsite animation/ effects using sliders, online catalogues, buttons, campaigns, embedding videos, etc. Contribute to ongoing UX & UI development, and customer journey optimisation, through participation in group and brand projects and initiatives. Work with Head of Digital and Digital team to deliver continuous improvement in Conversion Rate optimisation, including supporting A/B testing. Participate in the timely delivery of Group Digital projects and growth or optimisation initiatives. Assist Head of Digital and team in devising and producing digital development roadmaps. Proactively review the marketing and digital content calendars, to ensure that all brand requirements are met as per campaign requirements. Providing ongoing technical support and problem solving to drive optimum site aesthetic and performance with both internal and external partners and stakeholders. Work with Brand & Group Digital teams to ensure the provision of all SEO-based needs to drive optimal Search performance. Work with the Digital team to report on content performance, making recommendations and suggestions for improvements based on results. Assist in refining content and future developments based on results. Assist Digital teams in analysing the feasibility and execution of ongoing development initiatives and solutions. Ongoing collaboration and information-sharing support with colleagues across Group and other Brands Digital teams.

The Ideal Candidate has Experience in Front End Development, ideally within a fashion and/or large omni-channel retailer, or agency environment. Proven experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and ideally Bootstrap. Experience working with headless CMS. Passion and understanding of, contemporary UX & UI design principles. Experience referencing and matching Design files to create functional web pages and experiences (eg InVision). Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple functions/ departments. Basic understanding of at least one modern JS framework/ library. Outstanding organisational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Adaptability, within changing and evolving projects or environments. Ability to work autonomously and proactively. Knowledge of contemporary development principles and techniques, through a strong focus on self-managed research and learning. Superior problem solving & analytical skills. High level of testing and troubleshooting competencies. Can-do attitude Willingness to learn, use of initiative and hunger for new responsibilities. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy with a strong team focus.
