Job summary
We are seeking a permanent Part-Time Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our Orthopaedic practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital (Brisbane). This role requires an enthusiastic, professional and friendly medical receptionist who can work efficiently and autonomously, whilst maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating a compassionate approach to patient care.Brisbane Hip and Knee (Orthopaedic Practice, specialized in Hip and Knee conditions including paediatric Orthopaedics),located at Greenslopes Specialist Centre, is committed to providing high quality compassionate health care for our patients. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and ensure the smooth operations of all reception aspects of the practice, whilst providing administrative assistance to our doctors and staff. The role will require you to work efficiently and autonomously, whilst maintaining attention to detail and demonstrating a compassionate approach to patient care.
Duties includeMeet and Greet, and check in patients to the clinicMaintain electronic patient databaseManaging patient data and enquiriesAnswer and direct incoming calls, messages and correspondence Appointment schedulingLiaising with external health care professionals when requiredGeneral administration duties; scanning, faxing, bankingSecretary relief duties when requiredPatient billing (Medicare, Eclipse & Health fund billing) and processing of paymentsGeneral office duties, clinic preparation (including keeping it clean and tidy)
Skills and Experience
We would be happy to provide appropriate training and support, but it would be preferable to have some medical administration experience. Previous experience within an orthopaedic or medical practice would be advantageous but not essential.

Must have the availability to work Mondays and Fridays, 8am to 6pm. Additional days would be considered if needed by the applicant. (Usually 2-3 days/week, 20-30 hours/week). Flexibility to start/finish earlier/later if required.
