job detailsWe have multiple opportunities within our Parks & Gardens, Habitats and Natural Aereas divisions with Brisbane City Council. As part of the team, you will be working on various council projects throughout Brisbane.
About your new role

This is an opportunity to be involved in the full scope of parkland landscape construction and maintenance. Some maintenance may include garden beds, hedges and turfed areas.
Some of the other duties you may complete, are listed below:
- Enhancing and maintaining parks and streetscapes
- Identification of plant disease and application of appropriate treatments
- Operation and maintenance of machinery
- Repetitive manual lifting tasks
- Bushland regeneration duties
What you will need to Succeed
We are looking for reliable candidates who enjoy providing high-quality garden maintenance services. A strong sense of teamwork, a commitment to safety and ability to ensure that all machinery and operations are conducted according to specific guidelines.
- Horticulture experience (1+ year is desirable)
- Open Class C Licence (MR or HR licence is highly desirable)
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Ability to work within a team environment and work independently
- Possess TMI (Traffic Management Implementation) Ticket or be willing to obtain within the first month of employment.
- Qualfications in Land conservation, Horticulutre or Landscape Construction is highly desirable.
