Job summary
Jacksons is a leader in the construction and transport support industries and offers a large variety of equipment into construction, earthmoving, transport and other markets. We provide quality maintenance services and round the clock support to our customers, as well as industry leading and quality equipment. We have been operating since 2013 and continuing to expand in the Newcastle and Hunter Region, and recently into Sydney. We're looking for new team members with sound industry knowledge to join us in 2020.We're looking for someone who can bring their prior customer service skills, automotive experience or parts/store experience to this exciting new role.
The role will be based at our Newcastle based branch, in Beresfield.
The role will entail:Assisting with parts enquiries.Taking phone enquiries and over the counter salesAssisting in managing stock and ordering from suppliersInterpreting parts for all brands, for parts and service departments of our businessAssisting in parts entry and dispatch.
Essential Skills and Experience:Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills.
Great communication and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills
An interest in the automotive/construction equipment industry
A genuine team-player who works effectively with others and self-motivated when working autonomously
Previous Service or Automotive experience will be highly regarded.
The right candidate will learn how to effectively manage stock, stock levels and inventory. They will use and refine their communication skills to learn how to effectively quote for parts and set time frames for delivery and follow up for both internal and external sales. The successful applicant will be exposed to challenges in the wider parts department, and so the opportunity to develop a broad skill set is on offer.
