About Our ClientOur client is a Sydney based consultancy firm looking to expand their operations in Canberra and establish a strong presence working with a mixture of NFPs, SMBs and government organisations to maximise their technology investment and digitally transform their business. With a small base of managed service clients of sixty with ten of those in Canberra. Our client provides between 3 - 5k of services to a majority of NFPs with a profit of twenty million last fiscal year.
Job Description
- Perform IT and M365 Security Health Checks
- Provide technical leadership in named accounts.
- Develop well-prepared, accurate scopes of works, BOM's and Services pricing.
- Provide recommendations regarding future technology and strategy.
- Keep abreast of technology and develop appraisal reviews where applicable.
- Develop and document solution design and build.
- Perform M365 migration and project activities (e.g., SharePoint, Teams Voice).
- Respond to escalation requests for troubleshooting and defect resolution.
- Initiative-taking identification and analysis of issues (including P1 incidents, logs, analysis, and vendor alerts) and manage problem through to resolution.
- Function as a prime technical interface for client issues.
- Develop an ownership culture and provide empowerment to own and resolve issues.
- Engage team in collaborative problem solving to develop plans or resolve issues.
- Promote and drive a client driven culture.
- Communicate ideas, thoughts, and information to team members and across the organisation.
- Assist other engineers with identifying problem areas and escalating same to senior engineers or creating problem resolution actions for peer review and client approval.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 5 years' experience, including in managed services operations.
- Proven experience in the operational delivery of client services including desktop and server hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory, Exchange
- Backup technologies
- VMWare or Hyper-V server virtualisation
- Cisco, HP, or other network devices (switches, routers)
- Wi-Fi (Meraki preferred)
- Experience with a managed services or system integrator environment.
- Experience in using remote service tools to monitor, analyse and respond to incidents or events.
- Experience in consulting with clients face to face and via phone or email.
