With over 1300 employee across the globe, our client is looking to add an eager Assistant Accountant with payroll experience to the team.
Job Description
- Assist Finance Manager with month end tasks such as accruals and prepayments
- Assist with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts payable support including inter company reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations
- Assist with supplier invoice processing and other ad hoc tasks within the finance team as required
- Accounts receivable support including credit control
- Assist the Finance Manager with other ad hoc tasks and reporting as required
- Process fortnightly payroll - NZ, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA;
- PAYG tax payments and reconciliations;
- Superannuation calculation and payments;
- Payroll tax calculations and payments;
- Salary sacrifice workings and deductions;
- Process Workers Compensation returns and claims;
- Management of annual and long service leave accruals;
- FBT reconciliation and annual returns;
- Process all payroll related accounting entries into the finance system;
- Responsible for all payroll related month end accounting reconciliations and analytical review as required;
- Knowledge of Awards and Superannuation information and legislation;
- HR Administration;
- Assist in the annual budget process;
- All end of financial year tasks including PAYG certificates & transfers to ATO;
- Ad hoc tasks within the finance team as required.
The Successful Applicant
- 1-2 years of experience in similar role with Assistant Accountant and end-to-end Payroll experience.
- Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant, or studying towards qualifications
- Experience with large Accounting and Payroll platforms (such as IFS or Attache).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Competencies in MS Office products.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and approach to work.
