About the role
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical & Instrument Design Engineer (6+ years experience) to join a well-integrated and experienced project team. The role is based in Belmont, Western Australia and will be offered as a permanent position.
The successful applicant will be involved with detail design and will report directly to the Principal / Lead Engineer.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for production of EIC design deliverables including engineering models, calculations, drawings, designs and specifications which are fit for purpose, practical, cost effective, compliant with the relevant design and regulatory standards, and with the OHS and Quality Control requirementsSound working knowledge of current applicable Australian standards to provide technical support to designers and interface with engineers across multiple disciplines.Organize, execute and coordinate assignments within agreed budget and schedule; Provide technical guidance to delivery team involved in the delivery of an assignment.Sound working knowledge of current applicable Australian standards.Have a focus on managing work scope packages within the project budget and schedule requirements.Plan and assist with engineering documentation from research and development, concept, modelling, detailed design and post design stage.Preparation of technical specifications, scope of works or scope of supply and associated project documentation.Provide technical support to the site installation and commissioning teams.Guide and mentor a team of junior engineers and designers
Technical RequirementsBachelors Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering. 6+ years experiencePreferably CPEng with the expectation to gain CPEng accreditation as part of professional developmentExperience with Functional Safety systems and associated documentationExperience with EEHA and associated documentationExperience with engineering software. (AUTOCAD, ETAP, Digsilent Power Factory, CDEGS)Programing background would be highly regarded. (VBA, Dynamo, Java etc.)
