About the role

Reporting to the Inventory Purchasing Supervisor, the Inventory Purchasing Officer is responsible for ensuring parts are procured and available to meet customer demand and requirements, general purchasing enquires, supplier management and purchase order management for factory parts and repair programs.

DutiesProvision of effective and timely parts; purchasing, supply and returnsEffective management of system inputs relating to supplyInvestigation of alternative sourcing opportunities as requiredOrder and date management, communicating shortages and backordersResolution and management of supply and purchase price variances

Skills & experienceBachelors degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent is highly desirable Highly capable in the use of MS Office Suite.Good working knowledge of ERP Systems, Baan IV desirable.Excellent knowledge and application of inventory management principles.Strive to work effectively with various people and areas of the business.Ideally experience within OEM equipment or related heavy industry.
