Senior Technical Officer - Facilities

Clayton, Melbourne, VIC

$75,000 - $90,000 + Super

Have you ever wanted to work as a Senior Technical Officer with Facilities Management responsibility across multiple medical and technical research facilities? Our client is a leading non-profit and has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who is eager to take the lead as a Senior Technical Officer.

Based in Clayton, Melbourne, the role will manage multiple faucets of building operations and maintenance for 4 facilities. Key responsibilities will involve the management of contractors and safety programs and ensuring any day-to-day building requirements are met in accordance with the relevant contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical, educational or research type environment, although this is not essential.

The ideal candidate will be someone able to work in an autonomous environment with a keen eye for detail and be comfortable juggling multiple complex maintenance projects.

The role:

- Ensure that any work undertaken is in compliance with OHS and regulatory requirements
- Oversee onsite security, including CCTV, alarms, access cards and associated procedures
- Assistance in budget adherence and capital development projects
- Management and maintenance of relevant property site inspection audits, reports, and subsequent registers
- Providing day-to-day management support and ensuring that all projects are completed to a timely manner and satisfactory level of quality
- Ensure activities are carried out to a high quality and minimizing disruption to clinical activities
- Help develop annual Capex and Opex reporting to ensure various contractual obligations are met
- Oversee general maintenance requests and ensure that all requests are dealt with in a timely manner

Key Requirements:

- 3+ years of facilities experience, ideally within a medical/research environment
- Strong communication skills, able to work with various stakeholders both internally and externally
- Very computer literate, great multi-tasker
- Demonstrated ability within small equipment repair
- Based or comfortable with traveling to multiple locations in the Clayton area

The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $90,000 + super (depending on experience)
