About this role
- To be recognised as the organisational expert in the exploitation and support of council operations solutions
- Help stakeholders understand the capabilities of council operations solutions
- Ensure the council operations solutions are stable, robust and up to date
What you will do
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the applications within this portfolio, including vendor roadmaps
- Work with stakeholders to identify how current or planned functionality within applications in this portfolio can improve or optimise business processes
- Technical system administrator for applications within this portfolio and working closely with relevant business system administrators
- Plan and oversee upgrades to applications within this portfolio, including performing the role of release coordinator under change management processes
- Perform incident and problem management functions for the applications within this portfolio
- Availability and capacity planning functions for the applications within this portfolio
- Provide operational cover for other application specialists and the applications within their portfolios, as required
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for applications within this portfolio
- Work closely with relevant application vendors, including the account team and support staff
- Create, maintain and update relevant documentation
The capabilities you will bring (key competencies)
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of contemporary application frameworks, languages, SQL reporting services, web services and application programing interfaces
- Experience working within an ICT operations framework, including incident, problem, change, release and service continuity management practices and processes
- Experience delivering and coordinating projects
- Demonstrated experience of working with application vendors
- Demonstrated experience working with closely-related domain specialists, such as database administrators and server and network engineers
Required:
- National Police Check
- Covid 19 Vaccination and Booster
- Must have experience with Pathway System administration
