Randstad have teamed up with a local Government organization in Melbournes North to recruit a systems accountant. Dont miss out on a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization.
Your new role
- 6 month contract with possibility of extension
- Preston location, forget the hassle of the CBD!
- Hybrid work arrangement- able to work from home two days a week
- Experience with Oracle is a MUST
- Required to be double vaccinated
Duties
- Accountable for developing, implementing, evaluating, enhancing and continually improving the organisations Oracle finance system
- Operate as the conduit between finance, operations and IT for system related matters
- Improve processes to become more automated with more insightful analysis and report information
- Liaising with other internal stakeholders for the establishment of processes to continually improve reporting procedures, formats and alternative forms of reporting for information dissemination.
- Identify a range of potential solutions to a problem and make a recommendation with an appropriate justification.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance the needs of a specific customer or requirement against the needs of the organisation as a whole.
- Know when and where to seek guidance and advice from appropriate sources, both internal and external, in relation to methods, procedures and systems of support in the provision of financial advice, data system administration issues.
Skills required
- Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud functional areas such as: General Ledger, Payables, receivables and cash management.
- Report building experience with OTBI oracle reporting.Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud functional areas such as: Account Reconciliation, Financial Close, Planning and Financial Reporting.
- Strong technical and systems accounting skills with broad knowledge across commercial accounting systems and processes
- Technical background / understanding of technical elements around data would be an advantage
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Business or equivalent field of study.
