Acquired by an international conglomerate in the last 15 years, our client has expanded their presence internationally, winning major long-term and high-value contracts. Due to these expansions, the Finance function has grown in Perth substantially to a team of 9.
Job Description
- Manage all aspects of the Finance Function and ongoing development of the Finance team, being a key link between Finance and Operations.
- Monthly financial and management reporting across a diverse Australian and international Group, including performance analysis and project/job reporting.
- Management of multiple group and statutory audits for the Group, including entities incorporated in Australia, Madagascar and New Caledonia.
- Producing annual financial statements for international subsidiaries in conjunction with an external provider.
- Financial modelling, analysis and reporting of the annual budgeting cycle, latest estimate revisions, and weekly & monthly cash flow forecasts for cash management.
- Management of transactional financial services - accounts receivable, accounts payable, multiple domestic and foreign payrolls, banking and treasury.
- Compliance - numerous taxation and regulatory lodgements across domestic and foreign jurisdictions.
- Fulfil Transfer Pricing reporting across the Group to meet local and international tax obligations.
- Provide functional expertise and advice of best practices for the ERP
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position, you will have a professional Finance qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA) and a track record leading and developing finance teams of 5 - 10 people. Additional skills and experience related to ERP systems and automation and process improvement is essential, with a preference to those with experience using Microsoft Business Central, although this is not essential. Experience working for a internationally owned business is advantageous, as you will have an understanding of the reporting demands and requirements involved in such a structure. Finally, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role. The role will require somebody who wants to build relationships and partner with non-financial stakeholders across the business, so an interest in people and a desire to understand how a business truly operates will be essential in this position.
