job detailsDo you have experience in Credit Underwriting with a demonstrable track record in building a high performing and engaged team whilst maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders? Are you able to lead people into change, drive operations and build strong relationships with the internal divisions within?
If so, you could be the next Head of Underwriting Services where you will be leading and managing the Underwriting Service Team, including 50 full time onshore and 90-100 full time offshore staff, with 4 managers reporting to you.
The Role:
- You will proactively drive the team to implement efficiency improvements
- Establish and maintain efficient control environment across the function to ensure good operational, financial and project management
- Ensure capacity planning is well managed so the team is adequately staffed to meet SLA.
- Provide guidance to the reporting managers with respect to staff, lending decisions, stakeholder management.
- Utilise your transformation/innovation experience in credit underwriting such as best practice and lead Time to Yes as well as support the efficiency agenda in achieving optimal capacity for continuous business.
About You:
- Exceptional people leadership skills and strong stakeholder management
- You must be growth focused
- Retail Customer experience with strong strategic planning and implementations
- Desired background/industries: Credit operations, credit risk operations and brokers/branch network - distribution experience and customer outcome.
