About the role:
The a2 Milk Company seeks a highly accomplished scientist, with strong academic background (preference for Associate or Associate Professor level) and demonstrated international research collaborative links, to lead and advance the commercial science and research initiatives in relation to protein and gene technology platforms, patent and IP development, regulatory requirements, and analysis of commercial and clinically derived samples. The candidate should have strong commercial experience (5+ years) and be able to demonstrate expertise in protein and molecular biology, and preclinical and clinical studies, as demonstrated by their publication record.
More specifically, you will be involved in: Global strategic leadership and oversight of a2MCs Science strategy & roadmap across all Business Units,leading the global Clinical research portfolio, to ensure that project outcomes are delivered in a timely manner with highest scientific and ethical quality,leading the basic science research portfolio to explore mechanistic / proof-of-concept studies for health implications of A1 beta casein free milk, and undertake subsequent applications as deemed necessary,maintaining a detailed understanding of a2 test methods, standards and instruments used in all aspects of A2 protein and A2 gene testing,patent development, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress patent applications,management of and issue resolution for Commercial Science projects, including resolution of technical issues.About you:
Extensive published history of research. PhD in relevant field. Commercial experience in a similar role.
