Forensicare are seeking an experienced Facilities & Asset Management Manager with a background in healthcare to lead the day-to-day facilities and asset management function across the Forensicare sites. Our client, Forensicare, requires an experienced Facilities and Asset Management Manager with a background in healthcare and/or secure facility for a full-time, permanent position based in the north-east suburbs of Melbourne.

As the Facilities and Asset Management Manager, you will be responsible for leading the facilities management function across all sites. In addition, you will oversee day-to-day facilities & asset management activities, with a particular focus on maturing asset management functions in line with the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) and best practice. The role is also responsible for ensuring Forensicare has short, medium and long-term asset maintenance and renewal p

Role Account-abilities:

- Manage the effective and efficient delivery of maintenance across Forensicare sites including Thomas Embling Hospital (Fairfield), Community Forensic Mental Health Services (Clifton Hill) and Prison Services (Derrimut)

- Oversee the delivery of minor works and more complex infrastructure upgrades (e.g. electrical systems) across all sites.
- Developing and overseeing the execution of the annual planned and preventative maintenance plan and proactively identifying areas where additional investment is required.
- Ensuring best-practice responsive reactive and preventative maintenance activities
- Ensure the compliance with its obligations under the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF), relevant National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Own and implement policies regarding site access, permits to work, safety inductions and infrastructure interfaces.
- Work closely with the redevelopment project team and other capital project managers and contractors to ensure contractors are inducted, service interfaces are identified and risks to operational continuity are identified and mitigated or managed.
- Management of the Facilities and Asset Management team including ensuring there are appropriate professional development and succession plans in place.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seamless service delivery and productive professional relationships.

Experience and Skills:

- Qualification or experience a relevant discipline that underpins experience in facilities management.
- Extensive experience in facilities management of large and / or complex sites including security and emergency management systems, including developing and delivering an asset management strategy.
- Experience in leading and developing high performing teams
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining productive professional relationships
- Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and legislation relevant to Facilities Management, particularly in a health care context.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated extensive contract management skills, including performance reporting.
- Working knowledge and experience within a health care and/or secure facility would be highly regarded
