job detailsOur Federal Government client is currently seeking to fill a APS5 Insights and Reporting Officer. This role is offering an initial 12 month temporary contract, assignment paying up to $53.63 per hour plus super.
The branch collaborates with business areas to map, plan and deliver engagement and communications activities that support their projects and reach intended audiences and build their capacity. They guide business areas on the execution of their engagement and communications activities and provide best practice engagement and communications advice.
The Role
The Insights and Reporting Officer is a team membership role that will be responsible for providing professional, policy, operational support, and advice in relation to complex problems.

- Supporting the interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitive research and evaluation activities to provide information on engagement outputs, outcomes, and impacts.
- Developing analysis, insights, and recommendations to support teams and decision-makers to make evidence-based and data-informed decisions.
- Producing reports and dashboards to monitor performance, outcomes, and impact of engagement activities.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Improving the communication of data through creative storytelling and visualisation to multiple audience groups.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Insights Officer
- Experience using NVivo or Power BI
- Experience interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
- High level problem solving skills
- High level communication skills; verbal and written
