Job summary
Café ManagerDenim Co. is the answer to every coffee addicts prayers. Were tucked into Little Stanley Street at South Bank and serve up breakfast, lunch, light snacks and decadent desserts.
Denim Co is looking for a Café Manager to organise daily operations and motivate the staff to provide excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities include managing staff, monitoring daily expenses and revenues and ordering supplies as needed. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops. Also, you should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our café into a favourite local spot.
RESPONSIBILITIESManage day-to-day operations of the caféOnboard new staffTrain employeesCoordinate with suppliers and order stock, as needed Maintain updated records for OHSUpdate & troubleshoot point of sale solutionsMaintain store email account and understand how to use social mediaAdvise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer serviceEnsure all café areas are clean and tidyNurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLSWork experience as a Café Manager or supervisorHands-on experience with professional coffee machinesAvailability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays)Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a teamCustomer service attitudeAdditional certification is a plus
This is a hands-on role. You must always keep up a good attitude and work well under pressure/ fast paced environment.
