Hydrographic SurveyorPermanent Position
Your duties and responsibility will include:Compliance with QHSSE policies, standards and procedures.Participate in and conduct offshore hydrographic surveys including assistance with office- based project preparation and data processing and reporting.Set-up and calibration of hydrographic survey equipment.Installation, configuration of hydrographic survey software packages.Operation of hydrographic survey systems and acquisition of data under supervision in accordance with industry standards, company work instructions and project specific procedures.Maintenance of accurate logs of operations and survey parameters.Undertaking QC during data acquisition.Data processing of positioning and bathymetry datasets.
Requirements:Bachelor of Surveying (or equivalent) and/or post-graduate qualification in Hydrographic Surveying. Sound understanding of the principles of geodesy, surface and subsea positioning, navigation, acoustic theory, bathymetry data acquisition including tidal reduction, and vessel operations. Hold (or able to complete) an OGUK offshore medical certificate, Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course. Eligible for Certification by the AHSCP as a Level 2 (or higher) Hydrographic Surveyor. Completion of an IBSC-recognized Category A or B Course would be an advantage.
