About Our ClientOur client works within the clean energy industry, they are based in Perth's CBD with spacious offices. They are listed on the ASX and the role reports into the CFO. They can offer this position full time or part-time and run a lean function so the role has a good level of variety to it.
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role will be primarily responsible in assisting with statutory reporting, tax compliance, month-end reporting and delivering on transactional accounting requirements. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Accountable for monthly reporting, financial accounting, creditor and debtor management, and ensuring all Accounting Standards and other statutory reporting requirements are complied with;
· Preparation of timely monthly management accounts and all associated month-end duties and general ledger reconciliation, including business cost centre reporting and variance analysis;
· Accountable for transactional accounting requirements;
· Develop strategic working relationships with many different stakeholders across the business to improve operational performance;
· Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and cash flows;
· Assist in the audit process for half-year and annual reporting;
· Assist in all aspects of ASX reporting;
· Preparation and submission of regulatory payroll returns (payroll tax, superannuation, workers comp); and
· Compilation of monthly performance reports and analysis
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified and have experience delivering and supporting the entire finance function, from transactional accounting, preparation of management accounts and statutory reporting in a corporate environment.
This role requires someone to have a self-starter attitude and be able to problem solve autonomously. Exceptional communication skills are also required both written and verbally.
